For this piece, I had to create an informational poster about a specific butterfly. In my case I had the Black Swallowtail Butterfly. The obvious answer here would have been to make an infographic representing the information that I wanted to convey. My solution was to create a poster that is not only informational, but is an art piece as well. I wanted something that people would want to hang up on their walls in their homes or their offices, rather than a piece that looked like it belonged in a museum. I chose to play with typography in many different ways to make my poster stand out. The colors used were all colors that were taken from the butterfly itself.
